This isn’t the way I expected Spring 2020 to be, as normally we would be enjoying my traditional birthday weekend away. We have to stay home and at the same time try to combine work with taking care of the kids full time and maintaining a level of mental health. But that doesn’t mean we have to be wearing our pyjamas 24/7 and this is coming from someone who’s being working from home for years now 🙂

As I don’t have much time to dedicate to my YT channel right now having Emma at home with me every day.. I miss creating my usual amount of content, so I’ve decided to pick up my blog again and hopefully keeping you inspired, in case you are in the mood for a WFH shopping spree any of these days.

GIRLS TRIP TO McArthurGlen DESIGNER OUTLET ROERMOND

What’s better on the list than a weekend designer shopping at reduced prices with your girlfriend? McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Roermond is just a couple of hours drive from Amsterdam towards the South of Holland. So I say, if you live in The Netherlands, Belgium, North of Germany or you’re visiting any of these places on holiday.. grab your friend and call it a weekend! One of great fun and amazing fashion finds!

Moreover, we seemed to be arrived at the right time of the year! A new extension has recently opened with more than 50 additional stores! Think of french must have labels: Maje, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire and great selection of designer sunglasses at Sunglass hut. This means extra savings on outlet prices and you still have time! It’s until August 13th!

Now, take a look at my picks I’ve styled in 5 different outfits, all currently still in store at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Roermond!

Every single minute of this trip it’s been so much fun! Iris and I left Amsterdam on our Tesla Model X and after two hours driving we were ready for some serious shopping spree!

Since apparently you can’t always have it all, we were not that lucky with the weather.. Wind and rain didn’t leave us alone, but luckily McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Roermond offers 12 food options and restaurants to hide and enjoy some good food. Our favourite lunch was at Wagamama on the last day, serving delicious and heahlty lunch options and a great service!

Finally, what also impressed me was how Mc Arthur Glen Designer Outlet Roermond was close to the city centre. Just litelly a walk away. I remember visiting outlets before and they were always located in the middle of nowhere and you couldn’t really enjoy the neighbourhood. We walked from the Outlet to the city centre for aperitivo and a nice dinner and this was the cherry on top for the perfect girls trip!

WHERE I FIND MY OUTFIT INSPIRATIONS

I never have enough of casual chic looks, that’s who I am. A casual look elevated by feminine pieces and designer accessories is always what defines my personal style and it’s something that has evolved over the years.

Curious to find out when my inspiration is coming from?

Straight leg vintage Levi’s (legit from a vintage store and frayed hem operated by my scissors on my living room table) and new Gucci loafers paired with the latest cut white shirt trend (more here), layered with my beloved black leather jacket.

I do follow trends but I never wear clothes I don’t feel good or comfortable in.. That’s why, for me, there are never enough white shirts, off shoulder tops and layer of necklaces at the moment. The one I am wearing today from Dressfo is the perfect combination!

Good part of my time is spent into researching images from the web, magazines, tumblr, Instagram.. In order to be on top of the fashion game I think daily inspiration is vital. Sometimes I bump into an image that in reality would so not be my vibe, but it links to something else and generated a new inspiration. There is nothing as powerful as a colour palette of red, blues and whites to light up this grey Sunday in London. The contrast of stripes and a bandana scarf gives the outfit that hippie touch to finish up this cocktail of happy-go-lucky colours. Finally the lucky charm is recovered in the supersize symmetry of culottes with one of my most wanted flat forms of the moment.
